There are truly no words that can fully express how grateful my family and I are for everything Harry did for us following the loss of my mother. What started as help with selling her property became so much more, and his support, guidance and kindness during one of the most difficult times of our lives will never be forgotten. From the moment we first spoke with Harry, he treated us with compassion, understanding and genuine care. He was always available to answer questions, offer advice and guide us through every stage of the process. No matter how overwhelmed we felt, Harry remained calm, reassuring and incredibly supportive. Not only did he manage the sale of my mother’s property, keeping us updated every step of the way, but he also went above and beyond by helping us with arrangements for my mother’s funeral. During a time when our family was grieving and struggling to cope with so many responsibilities, Harry provided guidance and support that made an enormous difference. He helped us understand what needed to be done, offered practical assistance and was always there whenever we needed him. Before the house was marketed, Harry arranged for gardeners to come and get the property looking its best, taking yet another worry away from us. Throughout the entire process, he lifted a huge burden from our shoulders and allowed us to focus on supporting one another as a family. What stood out most was that Harry never made us feel like we were just clients. He genuinely cared about our wellbeing and always acted with kindness, patience and professionalism. His communication was excellent, and he kept us informed every step of the way, giving us reassurance and confidence when we needed it most. Harry has been amazing. Unfortunately, the passing of our best friend was completely unexpected and deeply traumatic. Despite the circumstances and the many unique requests that we and the family had, Harry managed to create a beautiful and meaningful funeral in a very short space of time. After the unexpected loss of my husband, as with most other people in the same circumstances, I was floundering. The impact of the loss, together with the speed with which all arrangements need to be made, H J Newington were stalwart in their support. Although my husband and I had everything together financially, we had not chosen a funeral home, celebrant, crematorium or the multitude of all the other aspects of the last acts of one’s life. It was here that H J Newington excelled, they organized a great celebrant, took care of the crematorium details, the live video stream, tribute page, and quickly responded to any question I might have had. I would recommend them highly, and thank them for their help at such a difficult time.

Thank you to Harry and the team for giving my mum a wonderful send off. After doing dad’s funeral back in 2022 mum wanted exactly what he did and I didn’t have to go into detail. I called Harry and explained and the next thing I had the arrangements of what was going to happen. So much stress was taken off mine and my sister’s shoulders as Harry knew exactly what we wanted. Harry was very quick and responding, very polite & caring. He made myself and my family very comfortable. Harry made the funeral planning as easy as he could at such a tough time. Every bit of detail was explained and prices were all broken down. We loved that everything was done in one place harry organised absolutely everything for us.
